Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Senior Engineer for Quality Engineering to drive defect reduction and continuous improvement across wafer manufacturing. This role requires leading cross-functional problem solving and acting as the voice of the customer on quality issues.

You will mentor other engineers, apply tools like 8D and DMAIC, and collaborate with suppliers, production, and failure analysis teams to ensure robust quality management and compliance with QMS standards.

Qualifications

• Master's in Microelectronic Eng or related field with 3+ years experience OR Bachelor's with 5+ years experience.
• Experience in semiconductor quality, process, product or yield engineering.
• Strong communication and project management skills; ability to work with executives and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer issue resolution and act as Voice of the Customer for quality concerns.
• Facilitate structured problem solving (root cause, corrective actions).
• Interface with customers on field returns and quality-related inquiries; analyze returns and prepare 8D reports.
• Write/update quality and operation specifications with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with procurement and supplier management for corrective actions.
• Mentor colleagues on SPC, FMEA, MSA and related tools.
• Lead audits of suppliers and participate in customer/certification audits.
