Job summary

Vicor in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to monitor supplier, subprocess and internal process quality in a fabless semiconductor setting. You will develop, document and implement quality processes and perform physical/electrical measurements of components.

This hands-on role requires ISO 9001:2015 expertise, CAPA oversight, and collaboration with failure analysis, reliability and supplier teams to drive corrective actions and ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a Product Quality Engineering role.
• Broad semiconductor/electronics manufacturing background with focus on product life cycle, trouble-shooting and inspection of manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
• IATF16949 Automotive quality experience.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or CQE.
• Understanding of statistics using JMP or Minitab.
• Experience in semiconductor industry quality and reliability systems and practices.
• Experience with PLM systems such as Omnify, Agile or Matrix One is a plus.
• Ability to drive projects to completion in a cross-functional team.
• Familiarity with IC packaging and Semiconductor Reliability is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier, subcontractor and internal process and product quality.
• Develop, document, and implement quality processes and procedures in a fabless semiconductor environment.
• Perform physical/electrical measurements of components.
• Support ISO efforts including internal audits.
• Oversee CAPA activities including SCAR, PCAR, NCMR and ISO audit findings.
• Communicate with suppliers to close corrective actions and monitor PCN activity.
• Maintain quality documentation/history; support failure analysis and reliability teams.
