Job summary

Deringer-Ney Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to oversee the application, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the quality system and lead projects per the Quality Manager.

The role requires strong knowledge of ISO standards, GD&T, PPAP, and Six Sigma, with experience in metal stamping or injection molding. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years quality experience in metal stamping or injection molding.
• Certified Quality Engineer or Auditor (desired).
• Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies, PPAP, APQP, IP/OQ/PQ.
• Strong project management and execution skill sets leading cross functional teams.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensures employees understand and follow Quality System policies and procedures.
• Maintains and improves Quality System through audits and corrective actions.
• Plans activities and coordinates with resources to complete projects on time.
• Develops Quality Plans, sampling, and inspection procedures including PPAP submissions.
• Participates in product design reviews with emphasis on GD&T and sampling techniques.
• Develops inspection techniques and gaging for accurate, repeatable results.
• Conducts process capability studies, DOE, gage R&R and related studies.
• Participates in nonconformance analysis and resolutions.
• Leads and mentors Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians.
