Job description

The Senior Quality Engineer is a critical part of the plant site team to develop and improve equipment and processes, increase throughput, and reduce DPPM throughout the plant, while improving quality to allow production to effectively meet production goals.

The role is to support the continued growth and quality standards of the operation. This position will be responsible for the evaluation of current and new process control systems, implementation of any new material and/or products, and evaluation of results data to review effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Devises and implements methods and procedures for work-in-process inspection, fabrication, and assembly product.
• Development of process control documentation (process flows and process control plans). Understanding both internal and external customer requirements.
• Resolve technical, quality issues in manufacturing.
• Develop contingency plans and reporting of risk management.
• Educates and trains manufacturing employees in quality practices and problem solving and provides feedback to engineering and manufacturing.
• Participates in cost savings and continuous improvement activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years background in advanced quality procedures and processes.
• Experience with continuous motion automated assembly a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Experience in support and improvement of automation equipment and production lines.
• Proven experience in setting up and maintaining high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on approach and ability to perform work on equipment.
• Project management skills to define and track engineering projects.
• Ability to work well with both internal and external resources.
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, and process capability studies.
• Well organized, enthusiastic, and a strong work ethic.
