Job summary

Watts Water is seeking a driven Senior Quality Engineer, NPD to lead quality assurance across new product development, production, and supplier quality. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant, high-quality launches and ongoing serial production of plumbing and heating equipment.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, robust quality tools, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer requirements and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related business field is required.
• 7+ years of experience applying total quality concepts in manufacturing.
• Experience in the new product development process.
• Proficiency with statistical process control and advanced analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and quality principles, theories, and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical packages.
• Ability to collaborate with customer and supplier representatives on quality issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Active participation in Stage Gate Process with timely quality actions.
• Oversee stage gate process adherence and gap closure.
• Lead supplier, distribution, and factory process development for flawless launches and serial production.
• Manage customer quality issues with cross-functional teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate professionally on customer issues.
• Track and report on customer issues and drive global resolutions.
• Advance quality tools and processes across the business (RCCA, PPAP, gage R&R, SPC, audits).
• Support audits and maintain site certifications and quality systems.
• Contribute to annual and strategic planning in quality.
