Job summary

Job description

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leadership in Customer Quality issues – Working with Watts manufacturing sites and Customer Service to establish and maintain best practices in Customer Quality assurance, including root cause/corrective action and follow‑up. Program management of customer issues; tracking, trending, and reporting customer issues; global resolution of these issues as needed; elevating Customer Interaction Standards for all of Quality.
  • New Product Introduction/Development for Large Projects – Act as an integral team member and quality practitioner of the NPD process. Ensure adherence to the NPD process, active requirement management, and that new products have procedures, quality plans, certifications, and all classic quality requirements for launch. Continuously assess performance, close gaps, promote best practices and norms, and develop, track, score, and improve NPD Quality metrics.
  • Supplier Quality – Collaborate with Corporate Supplier Quality (initially focusing on Large Projects NPD verifications). Ensure supplier capability assessments and quality audits are complete. Support Supplier Development, communicate PPAP, SCAR and CI activities, enforce proper supplier management processes, interface with Materials Management, and liaise across sites on key Quality Assurance issues.
  • Interface with other quality areas – Share best practices in Production Quality management, Supplier Quality Management, Regulatory and certification activities, domestic or international Codes and Standards, and the NPD process across all Watts sites. Support the Quality Council, stay updated on site certifications/audits, advance quality tools (RCCA, PPAP, gage R&R, SPC, process controls, audits), maintain the Corporate Quality Operating System, support MOR analysis and reporting, data reporting and integrity, eCAB, chair the corporate executive corrective action board, and participate in annual and strategic planning.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering, manufacturing, or business discipline.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience implementing Total Quality concepts in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 7+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience and training; Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Experience in basic Metrology and Calibration.
  • Prior experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Advanced Analytical Techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering, Lean Six Sigma, and quality principles, concepts, practices, and theories.
  • Proficiency using MS Office; Minitab proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to work with Customer/Supplier representatives on all quality related issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail.
  • Previous exposure to AutoCAD or other design‑related software tools.
Additional Information

Location: St. Pauls, NC manufacturing site (majority of duties performed in an office environment). Relocation assistance is available. Travel required up to 50%.
