PowerTec Distribution & Motor Control Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer to own the product quality for MV switchgear, MV MCCs, LV switchgear and LV MCCs—from incoming components through factory testing and shipment.

You will ensure compliance with UL and IEEE/ANSI standards and customer's specs, produce quality turnover packages, and maintain calibration and ISO 9001-aligned procedures. Occasional travel to supplier plants and sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality, test or manufacturing engineering on MV and LV switchgear and MCCs.
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• ASQ CQE, NETA certification or Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.
• Hands-on with hipot, insulation resistance, micro-ohm testing, NFPA 70E.
• Familiar with Eaton, Powell, ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric and SEL equipment.

Responsabilités

• Write inspection and test plans (ITPs) from customer specs/drawings.
• Lead FAT and customer witness tests: hipot, insulation resistance, contact resistance, breaker operation.
• Inspect in-process and finished equipment per drawings and labeling.
• Manage NCR/CAPA processes and root-cause analyses with 8D and 5-Why.
• Handle supplier nonconformances with Supply Chain and perform source inspections.
