Job summary

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with QMS, internal audits, supplier quality, and corrective action management, plus Six Sigma Black Belt certification and Lead Auditor credentials for ISO 9001/AS9100.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum five years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with QMS, internal auditing, supplier quality, and CAR management.
• Significant experience leading structured problem-solving initiatives using 8D and root cause analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of FMEA and Control Plans.
• Six Sigma Black Belt with experience completing multiple improvement projects.
• Lead Auditor with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 experience.
• Experience developing quality procedures, conducting audits, and training manufacturing personnel.
• Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Metals manufacturing experience or metallurgy knowledge.
• Experience with dimensional inspection and metrology systems like CMM.

Responsibilities

• Support QMS implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Lead internal and supplier quality audits, document findings and drive corrective actions closing.
• Serve as Lead Auditor, provide training and guidance to internal auditors.
• Facilitate CAR processes, verify effectiveness and conduct sustainability audits.
• Lead cross-functional 8D and root-cause analyses to resolve issues.
• Support supplier quality programs, including supplier audits and disposition of nonconforming materials.
• Interface with customers and third-party auditors regarding quality requirements and actions.
• Interpret drawings and specifications, provide guidance to manufacturing and inspection staff.
• Coordinate and support customer and external quality system audits.
• Develop and maintain quality procedures and customer deviations as needed.
• Support dimensional inspection and metrology programs and CMM technology.
• Improve measurement techniques with inspection personnel; ensure calibration records are up to date.
• Develop, monitor, and communicate quality performance metrics and trends.
• Apply FMEA, Control Plans, Six Sigma and Lean methods to strengthen controls and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and supply chain to resolve quality concerns.
• Promote safety and a culture of quality accountability and continuous improvement.
