Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to strengthen our metals manufacturing quality management system. The role focuses on QMS maintenance, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement across operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in metal manufacturing, experience in audits (ISO 9001/AS9100), and a proven track record of cross-functional problem solving using 8D, FMEA, and lean methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems, internal auditing, supplier quality, and corrective action management.
• Six Sigma Black Belt with experience completing multiple improvement projects.
• Qualified Lead Auditor with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
• Experience developing quality procedures and training manufacturing personnel.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Metals manufacturing experience preferred.
• ASQ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the QMS implementation, maintenance, and improvement.
• Lead internal and supplier quality audits and close nonconformances.
• Serve as Lead Auditor and train internal auditors.
• Facilitate Corrective Action Requests and verify effectiveness.
• Lead structured problem-solving using 8D and root cause analysis.
• Support supplier quality programs and supplier audits.
• Interface with customers and third-party auditors on quality requirements.
• Interpret drawings and technical requirements for manufacturing and inspection.
• Coordinate external audits and customer inspections.
• Develop and maintain quality procedures and deviations.
• Support metrology programs including CMM and 3D inspection software.
• Improve measurement techniques with inspection personnel.
• Oversee calibration programs and metrology equipment.
• Develop quality performance metrics to identify trends and reduce defects.
• Apply FMEA, Control Plans, Six Sigma, and Lean to strengthen controls.
• Collaborate across functions to resolve quality concerns.
• Promote safety and quality accountability culture.
