Job summary

Life.Church is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead QE across iOS, Android, and web Bible App experiences. You will design test strategies, execute manual and automated testing, and advance test automation to ensure high-quality releases.

You will mentor other QEs, embed quality early in development, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering to ship reliable Bible experiences. This role emphasizes accessibility and robust release health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years in quality engineering with mobile/web testing experience.
• Strong automation and testing skills across frontend, backend, and services.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy across iOS, Android, and web Bible App experiences.
• Define automated API, contract, and integration testing for backend services.
• Lead feature-flag QA and experiment verification with product teams.
• Own release health metrics and quality gates to protect releases.
• Drive production quality initiatives, monitoring, and postmortems.
• Track defect density, escape rate, and test execution time for leadership.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and shift quality left.
• Mentor and grow other quality engineers across the team.
• Collaborate with eng/PM/UX to embed QE in every squad’s shipping.
• Champion accessibility testing including VoiceOver/TalkBack sweeps.
