Job summary

3M is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to collaborate with global 3Mers and drive Operational Quality Excellence. You will oversee quality at division sites, support new product introductions, and lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality issues while improving processes and risk mitigation.

The role is on-site at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN, with travel up to 15% domestically/internationally and relocation possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher completed and verified prior to start.
• Three (3) years of combined quality engineering, manufacturing, and/or lab experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Responsibilities

• Partnering with/division manufacturing sites to drive Operational Quality Excellence and continuous improvement: identify sources of risk, standardize work, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Quality support for New Product Introductions and Change Management Requests for source of supply and/or manufacturing changes to ensure robust product performance and test method implementation.
• Leading and providing support to cross functional teams on the resolution of quality issues including recalls, complaints, nonconforming materials, etc., while monitoring root causes.
• Providing support for the division’s Quality Management Systems, including corrective and preventive actions and driving supplier/outsource manufacturing quality control.
• Partnering with the division laboratory regarding the measurement system analysis (MSA) of Test Methods for R&D and Plants.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher
