Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer for the Substation Division in a hybrid role based in Warrendale, PA. You will oversee quality processes, audits, supplier qualification, and root cause analysis to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.

Responsibilities include leading improvements, coordinating with MELCO and suppliers, and supporting design reviews. The role requires engaging with project teams and traveling domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience plus 7+ years in quality assurance in manufacturing or proj ect environments.
• Advanced knowledge of quality control, engineering, production, and statistical methods.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for customers, employees and suppliers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and materials.
• Advanced analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SSD quality processes, identify gaps and lead improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate supplier, subcontractor and production quality issues and implement improvements.
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective actions for IRs and NCRs.
• Maintain ISO 9001 certification through audits and recertification planning.
• Plan supplier qualification activities including audits and factory acceptance tests.
• Review bid/project specifications for quality compliance and recommend changes.
• Conduct job site safety and quality audits and deliver reports.
• Prepare/review inspection and test plans with internal departments, customers and vendors.
• Participate in design reviews, lessons learned and turnover meetings.
• Fill in for Quality and Advisory Manager as needed.
• Represent the Company professionally at customer locations and with vendors.
