Job summary

Qualifications

• Background in Quality Assurance or Control in regulated industries.
• Experience with ISO9001 or similar systems in ship-building or other regulated industries.
• Experience with independent audits for certification (ISO preferred).
• Working knowledge of planning systems such as MACPAC, and shop methods and construction processes.
• Experience interfacing with Navy SOSB QAS is a plus.
• Ability to travel for supplier audits and yard support.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: identify hazards, mitigate risks, and model safe behaviors.
• Project Execution: use BIW BOS to execute work and communicate progress.
• Quality Management: conduct audits and implement corrective actions; ensure conformance to standards.
• Training and Development: develop work instructions and advance QA competencies.
• Team Collaboration and Communication: coordinate with stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Continuous Improvement: pursue remediation and use A3 BIW BOS for improvements.
