Blue Origin in Washington is seeking a quality engineer specializing in investment castings to join the Operations team. You will own process quality, review NC dispositions, and drive improvements across manufacturing data, tolerances, and material performance.

You will collaborate with internal and external customers, develop training materials, and ensure timely, cost-effective solutions while adhering to AS9100/ISO9000 standards.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and technical writing skills required.
• Written communication for CAPEX justifications and vendor communications.
• Experience in a production environment.
• Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QMS.
• Proven RCCA tools experience.
• Ability to safely work with hazardous systems and materials.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle all process-related quality aspects of investment castings.
• Disposition non-conformances for rework/repair/scrap.
• Improve instructions for processing of investment castings.
• Analyze casting data and prepare summary reports using Excel, Minitab, or JMP.
• Collaborate with customers on quality concerns and develop training materials.
• Support New Product Introduction and Process Changes with design input.
• Drive timely, cost-effective solutions to manufacturing roadblocks.
• Execute aggressive timelines for project execution.
