Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer II to safeguard Aerospace and Defense product quality from design through manufacturing.

You will evaluate customer requirements, drive corrective actions and 8-D analyses, and maintain robust reliability programs with cross-functional teams across the globe. The role requires deep knowledge of semiconductor processes, PPAP/FMEA/Control Plans, and strong communication to interact with customers and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science or equivalent.
• 7.5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing design or quality assurance.
• Experience with semiconductor materials and FPGA/ASIC is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements against procedures and recommend changes.
• Lead/root-cause analysis, 8-D reports, and customer follow-up.
• Monitor hi-rel processes, produce monthly/quarterly metrics.
• Coordinate or provide content for customer questionnaires and surveys.
• Own reliability program and periodic reliability report updates.
• Perform final QC inspections and COFCs as needed.
• Audit processes, systems, and ensure AS9100 compliance.
