Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Quality Engineer 5 to lead manufacturing quality systems across its global factory network. The role focuses on innovative, scalable quality solutions that enable agility and operational excellence.

You will drive transformation of quality processes, governance, and analytics, partnering across manufacturing, engineering, and operations to deliver high-impact results in a rapidly evolving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with extensive experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technicians in clean room environments.
• Experience in quality analytics dashboard development and validation.
• Lean Six Sigma skills and experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement next-generation quality programs, processes, and tools.
• Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities within quality systems.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across global sites to harmonize quality practices.
• Develop governance models and best practices for scalable quality execution.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of quality initiatives across Lam’s factories.

Education

Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Engineering equivalent with 12 years of related experience or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience
