Job summary

Energetiq Technology, Inc. in Wilmington, MA, is seeking a hands-on Senior Quality Engineer to improve the performance, quality, and manufacturability of complex electromechanical products across the full lifecycle.

You will lead investigations, analyze data for trends and risks, partner with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and suppliers, and implement sustainable quality improvements. This role reports to the Quality Engineering Manager and requires strong leadership and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
• Six or more years of relevant experience in Quality.
• Hands-on experience investigating and resolving complex product or process issues.
• Experience applying structured problem-solving, statistical analysis, and risk-management methods.
• Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and clearly communicate technical conclusions and recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and experience working with ERP, MRP, or database systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex product and process investigations, including containment, failure analysis, root cause determination, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
• Analyze manufacturing, supplier, customer complaint, and product performance data to identify trends and prioritize improvement opportunities.
• Apply structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, and FMEA.
• Partner with R&D and Product Engineering on design reviews, product validation, risk assessments, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and new product introduction.
• Work directly with customers and suppliers to understand concerns, communicate investigation results, and implement effective solutions.
• Lead cross-functional projects that improve product quality, process capability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop meaningful quality metrics and translate technical data into actionable recommendations.
• Promote effective Quality Engineering practices across the organization.
• Support customer, supplier, and internal quality audits.
