Job summary

Energetiq Technology, Inc. in Wilmington, MA is seeking a hands‑on Senior Quality Engineer to improve the performance, quality, and manufacturability of complex electromechanical products.

You will lead investigations, apply structured problem‑solving tools, analyze data, and work across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers to implement sustainable improvements. The role is onsite and reports to the Quality Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
• Six or more years of relevant experience in Quality.
• Hands‑on experience investigating and resolving complex product or process issues.
• Experience applying structured problem‑solving, statistical analysis, and risk‑management methods.
• Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and clearly communicate technical conclusions and recommendations.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in complex products.
• Strong project leadership, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
• A practical, curious, and solutions‑oriented approach to engineering problems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and experience working with ERP, MRP, or database systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex product and process investigations, including containment, failure analysis, root cause determination, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
• Analyze data from manufacturing, supplier, customer complaints, and product performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Apply structured problem‑solving tools (8D, DMAIC, 5‑Why, Fishbone Analysis, FMEA).
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Engineering on design reviews, validation, risk assessments, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and NPI.
• Work with customers and suppliers to understand concerns, communicate results, and implement solutions.
• Lead cross‑functional projects to improve quality, process capability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop quality metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Promote quality engineering practices across the organization.
• Support customer, supplier, and internal quality audits.

Position Summary:

Energetiq is seeking a hands-on Senior Quality Engineer to help improve the performance, quality, and manufacturability of complex electromechanical products.

This highly visible role provides exposure across the complete product lifecycle, from product development and validation through manufacturing, supplier quality, and field performance. You will lead technically challenging investigations, analyze data to identify trends and risks, and work directly with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers to implement sustainable improvements.

This position reports to the Quality Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex product and process investigations, including containment, failure analysis, root cause determination, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
• Analyze manufacturing, supplier, customer complaint, and product performance data to identify trends and prioritize improvement opportunities.
• Apply structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, and FMEA.
• Partner with R&D and Product Engineering on design reviews, product validation, risk assessments, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and new product introduction.
• Work directly with customers and suppliers to understand concerns, communicate investigation results, and implement effective solutions.
• Lead cross-functional projects that improve product quality, process capability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop meaningful quality metrics and translate technical data into actionable recommendations.
• Promote effective Quality Engineering practices across the organization.
• Support customer, supplier, and internal quality audits.

The compensation salary range for this role is $107,000 to $116,500. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
