Job summary

Trojan Battery Company in Attica, IN is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to coordinate and implement effective quality plans for products and processes. You will apply basic Six Sigma tools (RCCA, FMEA) and process mapping to analyze variation and drive improvements.

You will develop control plans, inspection schemes, and quality documentation, lead audits, and mentor teams on continuous improvement. Strong communication and Lean knowledge are essential to support engineering efforts and

Qualifications

Associates or bachelor’s degree in a technical or science discipline, with at least 7 years of related experience.
Ability to interpret drawings and first article inspection results.
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Minitab.
Understanding of Lean principles and COQ concepts (scrap/rework/repair).
Knowledge of ISO/QS quality systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and implement quality plans using Six Sigma tools (RCCA, FMEA, process mapping).
Conduct quality audits to ensure material/process conformance.
Lead and mentor process improvement activities.
Handle customer complaint process with trend analysis and corrective actions.
Oversee supplier quality performance for all purchased parts.
Develop and deliver quality training programs for key personnel.
Implement and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and policies.
Support engineering efforts of analytical lab equipment and manufacturing processes.
Drive process improvement and RCCA development.
Develop sampling plans for production qualification and validation.
