Job summary

Nexcess is seeking an experienced QA/Quality Engineer to own end-to-end testing for Compute Solutions, including VPS, cloud, storage, and bare metal products. You will design strategies, build automated tests, and verify changes with robust evidence, working closely with engineers across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automated testing and quality engineering for production systems.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks.
• Ability to test complex environments with multiple components.
• Translate requirements into clear acceptance criteria and test strategies.
• Reading code to identify risks and gaps; incident analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality within Compute Solutions, including VPS, storage, and related products.
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and test coverage.
• Define testing strategy early; identify risks and edge cases.
• Translate requirements into objective acceptance criteria and test cases.
• Validate changes across complex infrastructures and provide evidence.
• Use AI-assisted tools in daily workflow while validating output.
• Review code and tests from other engineers; mentor on quality practices.
• Improve testing efficiency by replacing repetitive validation with automation.
• Participate in incident analysis and drive improvements in testing.
• Work across unfamiliar systems and ensure robust test coverage.
• Coordinate quality dependencies across teams and communicate clearly.
