Job summary

KASAI NORTH AMERICA is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives and mentor junior engineers in our manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with customers, perform root-cause analyses, and ensure corrective actions meet internal and customer requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in industrial/manufacturing engineering or related field, with several years of quality experience in manufacturing. Occasional travel and cross-functional teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in industrial/manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
• Quality field experience 4–6 years with 2 years in manufacturing.
• Spanish ability is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with customer quality group to respond to quality issues.
• Address and fulfill customer requests with Kasai NA management when needed.
• Determine root cause for onsite quality defects manufactured by Kasai NA.
• Provide oral presentations to customers on Kasai NA issues when needed.
• Obtain customer approval for control of parts.
• Issue quality concerns and feed back to Kasai NA Plant.
• Coordinate material movement between manufacturing plant and Nissan facility.
• Oversee data collection and interpretation to drive improvements.
• Inspect/test materials for aesthetic and dimensional accuracy.
• Evaluate 8D responses for acceptance or corrective action.
• Communicate quality control information across departments and vendors.
• Produce reports on nonconformances, daily production quality, and trends.
• Assist training of Quality associates.
• Follow practices supporting company policies, safety, 5S, and regulatory/customer requirements.
• Senior Quality Engineer: mentor new quality engineers in procedures, engineering principles, and work practices.
