Job summary

Southwest Venture Plastics LLC in El Paso, TX is seeking a Quality Engineer with hands-on metrology skills to lead quality initiatives for automotive and aerospace programs. The role focuses on IATF 16949 and AS9100 compliance, corrective actions, and customer requirements.

You will collaborate with engineering, tooling, manufacturing, and operations to ensure products meet quality standards and continuous improvement efforts are driven on the shop floor and in the metrology lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 5+ years Quality Engineering in manufacturing.
• Experience in plastic injection molding and IATF 16949/AS9100.
• Hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA; GD&T.
• Experience operating/programming CMMs and Micro-Vu vision systems.
• Internal auditing experience; bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality planning activities including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA.
• Develop and submit PPAP packages and customer documentation for new launches and changes.
• Conduct root cause investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Lead customer complaint investigations from containment to action.
• Support scrap reduction and cost improvements via data-driven QA.
• Perform process capability studies and statistical analysis with Minitab.
