Job summary

Electra seeks a Principal Quality Engineer to support manufacturing and certification across our Manassas, VA and Springfield, OH locations. The role blends hands-on quality oversight on the shop floor with building the QMS infrastructure for FAA type and production certification.

You will lead MRB, inspections, and Lean quality practices while partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, Tooling, and Flight Test teams to hit rate milestones and maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing
• Experience supporting FAA certification programs
• Familiarity with MRB disposition and non-conformance management
• Knowledge of AS9100D/AS9102 standards and application
• Willingness to travel between Manassas, VA and Springfield, OH

Responsibilities

• Represent Electra’s Quality department at all locations and interactions, from shop floor to executive meetings
• Support FAA Part 23 Type and Production Certification efforts with quality oversight and documentation
• Lead development and maintenance of a compliant FAA CFR 21.137 QMS, including floor oversight and receiving inspection
• Drive Lean quality practices across Production and Manufacturing to support rate milestones
• Develop and deliver a comprehensive Quality Training Program for production personnel
• Own predictive quality and rate acceleration objectives to meet production milestones
