Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer III in the Dayton, OH area to lead QA programs and drive continuous improvement across products. You will ensure compliance with ISO9001/AS9001 and AS9100, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate supplier quality efforts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 5+ years QA experience, CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years as a Quality Engineer or in a related field.
• CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt certification required or highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, and test procedures; leadership experience.

• Oversee and manage comprehensive quality assurance programs.
• Lead complex quality audits and assessments.
• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize advanced statistical techniques to analyze quality data and drive improvements.
• Provide guidance to junior/mid-level quality engineers.
• Develop regulatory compliance strategies and ensure standards adherence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality into product development.
• Manage supplier quality assurance programs.
