Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to provide technical leadership in a regulated aerospace manufacturing context including chemical etching, plating, and precision processes.

You will lead quality investigations, develop metrology methods, and drive continuous improvement using data analytics and SPC. The role emphasizes hands-on governance of quality systems, supplier quality, and customer-focused action.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of Quality/Manufacturing Engineering experience in regulated environments.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Support etching, plating, inspection, singulation, packaging, and related processes.
• Develop and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, inspection plans, and process controls.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, customer requirements, and key characteristics.
• Develop and validate inspection and metrology methods for new and existing products.
• Establish CMM inspection setups, measurement strategies, and fixturing concepts.
• Lead investigations for customer complaints, escapes, and nonconformances.
• Provide technical guidance on GD&T, inspection methods, and metrology.
