Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer (Level Three) to drive Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement initiatives within aerospace manufacturing.

The role interfaces with internal teams and external customers and suppliers to ensure compliance with AS9100/NADCAP and associated quality standards. You will lead audits, develop procedures, review specifications, and mentor junior engineers while applying Six Sigma tools and SPC data analysis.

Qualifications

• 10+ years manufacturing experience in a quality engineering field with aerospace customer.
• 10+ years working directly with customers and suppliers.
• Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred.
• Experience with Metallurgy and forging industry is desired.
• Experience with GD&T and ISO/AS9100/NADCAP.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in duties and stand in for them in their absence.
• Guide quality systems reviews and audits; train staff and direct quality work.
• Review and revise quality systems procedures; manage internal audits.
• Collaborate with customers and third party auditors to conduct audits.
• Develop methods for disposition of discrepant material and root cause analysis.
• Monitor corrective actions to verify implementation and effectiveness.
• Lead growth of AS9100 and NADCAP processes.
• Perform purchase order and contract reviews to ensure flow-down of requirements.
