Job summary

Senior Quality Engineer position in San Diego, hybrid arrangement, offers $130,000–$170,000 base with equity and full benefits. You will help build and scale the quality function for next‑gen optical products used in AI, data centre and HPC applications.

The role covers Quality Systems, Manufacturing Quality, and Supplier Quality, collaborating with engineering, operations, suppliers and external manufacturing partners to establish scalable quality infrastructure as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' Quality Engineering experience in semiconductor, advanced packaging or photonics.
• Strong Quality Systems / ISO experience.
• Supplier Quality and subcontractor management experience.
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5-Why and Gage R&R.
• Optical transceiver experience is highly preferred.

A growing photonics company is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to help build and scale its quality function across next-generation optical products for AI, data centre and HPC applications.

This is a hands-on role covering Quality Systems, Manufacturing Quality and Supplier Quality. Working closely with engineering, operations, suppliers and external manufacturing partners, you’ll help build and scale the company’s quality infrastructure as it continues to grow.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead ISO certification and quality management systems


• Drive manufacturing quality, yield and product reliability
