Job summary

Senior Quality Engineer position in San Diego, hybrid arrangement, offers $130,000–$170,000 base with equity and full benefits. You will help build and scale the quality function for next‑gen optical products used in AI, data centre and HPC applications.

The role covers Quality Systems, Manufacturing Quality, and Supplier Quality, collaborating with engineering, operations, suppliers and external manufacturing partners to establish scalable quality infrastructure as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' Quality Engineering experience in semiconductor, advanced packaging or photonics.
• Strong Quality Systems / ISO experience.
• Supplier Quality and subcontractor management experience.
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5-Why and Gage R&R.
• Optical transceiver experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead ISO certification and quality management systems.
• Drive manufacturing quality, yield and product reliability.
• Manage Supplier Quality, audits, qualification and SCARs.
• Lead RCA, CAPA and non-conformance investigations.
• Develop FMEA, Quality Control Plans and SPC.
• Track and improve key quality metrics.
