Job summary

A staffing and consulting firm is seeking a skilled Automation QA Engineer to design and code automated tests for validating new features using JavaScript and TypeScript. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of test automation experience and the ability to work in an Agile environment. This contract position operates on EST hours and involves participation in sprint planning and requirements meetings, as well as collaboration with various teams to enhance testing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create Test Plans for features.
• Design and code automated tests to validate new features/enhancements.
• Work with the Infrastructure team to build testing environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues.
• Create/update automated tests to validate functional and non-functional requirements and security of features.
• Create integration tests.
• Work with the Infrastructure team to build testing environments with necessary tools and frameworks.
• Work with Release Management team to configure test pipelines for automated test execution.
• Develop tools and employ best practices that will increase the efficiency of your team.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirements team meetings.
• Report defects and track defect resolutions.
• Follow agile development practices.
• Maintain test artifacts and repositories such as test plans, test case documents, automated test cases, execution metrics, etc.

Position Title: Automation QA Engineer

Position Description

Our client is looking for Automation QA Engineer candidates to design and code automated tests to validate new features/enhancements using Typescript and Playwright. This position aligns with architects and business partners to define Agile stories for new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create Test Plans for features
• Understand functional and non-functional requirements
• Design and code automated tests to validate new features/enhancements
