Job summary

RELY Manufacturing is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Quality Engineer to lead plant-level quality initiatives, improve manufacturing processes, and develop quality systems that support growth.

You'll drive PPAPs, PFMEAs, LPAs, and ISO 9001 quality systems while solving problems on the production floor alongside manufacturing teams. 5–7+ years of hands-on QA in manufacturing is required, with strong SPC and gauge R&R expertise.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of hands-on quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and Gauge R&R.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems; IATF 16949 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain PPAPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and process flowcharts.
• Lead root cause investigations, 8D corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own and improve LPAs and ISO 9001 quality processes.
• Establish inspection requirements, first article inspections, and in-process quality controls.
• Perform and oversee MSA, Gauge R&R, and SPC activities.
• Manage nonconforming materials, containment procedures, and corrective actions.
• Partner with production, engineering, and maintenance to resolve quality issues on the floor.
• Develop standardized work instructions, inspection procedures, and quality controls.
• Mentor production associates and support quality talent development.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Salary: $80,000–$105,000 annually

RELY Manufacturing is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Quality Engineer to lead plant-level quality initiatives, improve manufacturing processes, and develop quality systems that support our continued growth.

We're a growing contract manufacturing organization with an experienced leadership team that values accountability, continuous improvement, and developing talent from within.

This isn't a desk-bound quality role. We're looking for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, solving problems alongside manufacturing teams, and taking ownership of quality improvements from start to finish.

• Develop, implement, and maintain PPAPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and process flowcharts.
• Lead root cause investigations, 8D corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own and improve Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and ISO 9001 quality processes.
• Establish inspection requirements, first article inspections, and in-process quality controls.
• Perform and oversee MSA, Gauge R&R, and SPC activities.
• Manage nonconforming materials, containment procedures, and corrective actions.
• Partner with production, engineering, and maintenance to resolve quality issues directly on the manufacturing floor.
• Develop standardized work instructions, inspection procedures, and quality controls.
• Mentor production associates and support the development of internal quality talent.
• 5–7+ years of hands-on Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and Gauge R&R.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems; IATF 16949 experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Proficient in blueprint reading, dimensional inspection, and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience developing or improving quality systems and manufacturing inspection processes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Comfortable working directly with production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience: Contract manufacturing, metal fabrication, machining, assembly, automotive suppliers, or related industrial manufacturing.
