Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing.
  • Experience working within an AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Strong experience with NCR/MRB, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Working knowledge of AS9102 FAI.
  • Experience with APQP/PPAP, preferably AS9145.
  • Working knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and process capability.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day quality engineering support to manufacturing and inspection.
  • Lead and support NCR/MRB, root cause analysis, corrective action, and quality escapes.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, inspection requirements, and quality documentation.
  • Lead and support FAI/AS9102 and PPAP/APQP activities.
  • Support process validation and qualification of new equipment, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and improve quality performance including FPY, defects, rework, scrap, NCRs, and escapes.
  • Support internal, customer, and supplier audits.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, and Rocker QMS procedures.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to identify process risks and prevent recurring defects.
  • Support engineering and manufacturing changes from a quality perspective.
  • Use quality tools including 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, SPC, MSA, and process capability analysis.

Job description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing and production quality activities. This role will provide hands‑on quality engineering support, lead nonconformance and corrective action activities, and help establish and maintain effective quality controls in accordance with AS9100 and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong aerospace manufacturing experience and can independently investigate quality issues, work cross-functionally with Manufacturing and Engineering, and drive problems to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs
  • Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Push up to 25 lbs. on a rolling cart
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check
