Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Berkeley, MO team. You will lead integration of QMS requirements into proposals and program processes, interpret complex requirements, and develop quality metrics and certification plans for large programs.

The role requires extensive experience with RCCA/CAPA, FAI, NCR processes, and quality inspections. You will drive corrective actions and support supplier selection, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • 5+ years in RCCA and CAPA.
  • 5+ years of Quality Inspection experience including FAI.
  • 5+ years working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes.

Responsibilities

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities
  • Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation
  • Provides interpretation of complex requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
  • Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities
  • Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
  • Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
  • Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Develops and implements corrective actions
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
  • Works under minimal direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 5+ year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • 5+ of Quality Inspection experience, including FAI (First Article Inspection)
  • 5+ years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certifications
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing Quality Engineering role
Travel

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
