Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (hybrid)

Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid (2-3 days in office)

Work Authorization Notice: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment without requiring current or future employer sponsorship of any kind, including but not limited to OPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, or any other visa classification.

About Us

TogetherWork is a $250M recurring revenue SaaS business with more than 33 software applications serving over 12 vertical markets. We help communities, organizations, and businesses thrive by delivering purpose-built software that supports their missions and operations.

Headquartered on South Congress in Austin, TX, TogetherWork is scaling rapidly. We are customer-focused, execution-driven, and committed to operational excellence. Our teams value accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About This Role

TogetherWork is scaling quality across a complex, multi-product SaaS portfolio, and we need a Senior QA Automation Engineer who leads with automation first. You build, maintain, and continuously improve automated test coverage across web applications, BI reports, analytics dashboards, and data pipelines.

You will embed directly with product and data teams to ensure coverage keeps pace with a rapidly modernizing platform. AI is a core part of how you work; you use it daily to accelerate test creation, identify coverage gaps, and generate smarter edge cases.

What You'll Do

  • Create and maintain end-to-end automated test suites for web applications across a polyglot stack including React, PHP, Rails, and .NET - building automation that survives UI changes and scales across multiple products without becoming a maintenance burden.

  • Use approved AI coding tools daily to generate test scaffolding and tests, expand coverage, and surface edge cases faster, while evaluating AI output critically and demonstrating this fluency.

  • Partner with DevOps and Engineering to ensure automated test suites are integrated effectively into CI/CD pipelines, owning the quality of what runs inside them.

  • Surface test results, coverage gaps, and quality trends in ways that are actionable for engineering leads and product teams, making quality visible, not just measurable.

  • Embed directly with product and data teams to ensure automated coverage keeps pace with a rapidly modernizing platform, using AI daily to accelerate test creation and generate smarter edge cases.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in QA automation with direct ownership of test suite design and maintenance in production environments.

  • Strong proficiency in E2E web application testing.

  • 2+ years proven experience with Playwright.

  • Demonstrated daily use of AI coding tools to build and accelerate test coverage.

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests integrate into them.

  • Experience testing across multiple products or codebases simultaneously.

  • Strong debugging skills.

  • Background in multi-product environments.

  • Proven experience using AI tooling, daily, for AI-native testing.

Why This Role

At TogetherWork, we help community-driven organizations grow and thrive - creating better experiences for the people they serve. We are guided by values that shape how we work every day: Obsess over our customers. Own it. Together. Move fast with purpose.

  • Impact: Build automation that directly shapes the quality and reliability of a fast-growing, multi-product SaaS portfolio.

  • Challenge: You think in automation first - when a bug is found manually, your instinct is to write the test that would have caught it.

  • Ownership: Own test suite design, coverage, and quality visibility end-to-end, using AI daily to move faster and go deeper than manual testing alone.

  • Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to keep automated coverage integrated into CI/CD and quality visible across the organization.

The Company offers a comprehensive employee benefits program, including:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plan options
