Job summary

Atom Computing, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado, seeks a Quality Control Inspector to establish the quality function within our growing manufacturing organization. You will perform incoming, first-article, in-process, and final inspections of optical, mechanical, vacuum, and electronic hardware to ensure conformance to drawings, specs, and supplier documents.

Qualifications

• BS in Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in manufacturing quality or inspection of precision hardware.
• Experience interpreting drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with calibration and nonconformance control.
• Experience with optical/ vacuum/ electronic hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, first-article, in-process, and final inspections against drawings and specs.
• Inspect dimensions, optical surface, workmanship, and supplier documents.
• Collaborate to implement in-process inspection points for optical cleaning, bonding, precision assembly, and rework.
• Perform dimensional inspections using CMMs and support method development.
• Maintain calibration records and verify equipment status.
• Identify nonconforming material and coordinate disposition.
• Investigate supplier defects and verify corrective actions.
• Verify release gates and maintain traceable quality records.
