Job summary

Atom Computing is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to establish the quality function within its growing manufacturing organization. You will perform incoming, first-article, in-process, and final inspections of optical, mechanical, vacuum, and electronic hardware against engineering drawings and specs.

You will maintain calibration records, verify measurement equipment, and collaborate with Engineering to implement release criteria and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• BS in Electronic, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in manufacturing quality, quality engineering, or inspection of precision hardware.
• Experience inspecting precision optical, mechanical, or electronic components.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, first-article, in-process, and final inspections against drawings and specifications.
• Inspect critical dimensions, optical surface condition, assembly workmanship, and supplier documentation.
• Develop and refine in-process inspection points with Engineering for optical cleaning, bonding, and precision assembly.
• Maintain calibration records and verify measurement equipment status.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering on defects and corrective actions.
