Job summary

BoldTek is seeking a QA/Test Technician to join our Spring, TX lab onsite. You will assemble/de-assemble PC hardware, run hardware and software tests, and maintain test plans, results, and logs. You will assist engineers to reproduce issues with detailed logs and reports, and help automate testing where possible.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of PC hardware assembly experience, strong troubleshooting, and solid communication and analytical skills, with experience in automation.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of PC hardware assembly/de-assembly experience with troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and report root causes of hardware/software issues.
• 2-3 years of technician and test lead experience with test planning and reporting.
• Strong communication, analytical, reporting, and technical skills.
• Experience in automation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/De-assemble computer hardware and PC accessories for lab test environment.

Must come onsite 5x a week in Spring, TX

Responsibilities:

• Assemble/De-Assemble Computer PC hardware, Display and other PC accessories for managing and maintaining Lab Test environment.
• Takes lead initiatives and actively assist in implementing new ways to improve QA on various projects
• Execute various hardware, software Tests using defined test plans.
• Maintain various test plans, test results, issue logs.
• Perform Troubleshooting.
• Maintain hardware Lab equipment’s and inventories as needed.
• Understand various test scripts to help automate test process.
• Provide Test assistance to other Engineers (Hardware R&D, Software Developer) in reproducing various hardware/software problems, troubleshoot the issues and creating/capturing details/logs/reports.

Skills & Requirements:

• 2-3 years of Strong Computer PC hardware Assembly/De-Assembly knowledge with detail hardware/software troubleshooting skills.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and root cause computer hardware and software technical issues and provide detail technical reporting.
• 2-3 years of Technician and Test Lead experience in understanding test technician tasks, test planning and communicating test results/reports.
• Strong communication, analytical, reporting, and technical skills.
• Professional work experience in automation.
