Job summary

BoldTek is seeking a QA/Test Technician to join our Spring, TX lab onsite. You will assemble/de-assemble PC hardware, run hardware and software tests, and maintain test plans, results, and logs. You will assist engineers to reproduce issues with detailed logs and reports, and help automate testing where possible.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of PC hardware assembly experience, strong troubleshooting, and solid communication and analytical skills, with experience in automation.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of PC hardware assembly/de-assembly experience with troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and report root causes of hardware/software issues.
• 2-3 years of technician and test lead experience with test planning and reporting.
• Strong communication, analytical, reporting, and technical skills.
• Experience in automation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/De-assemble computer hardware and PC accessories for lab test environment.
• Lead initiatives to improve QA across projects.
• Execute hardware and software tests using defined test plans.
• Maintain test plans, results, and logs.
• Troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain lab hardware and inventories.
• Understand test scripts to help automate testing.
• Provide test assistance to engineers and reproduce issues with logs and reports.
