Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager/Lead for a precision manufacturing environment focused on miniature, high-volume turned components. You will lead quality programs, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products meet aerospace/military standards.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, ISO 9001/AS9100 familiarity, PPAP, FMEA/FAIR experience, and the ability to supervise inspectors on the shop floor, with some travel.

Qualifications

• Proven Quality Management experience in a job shop machining miniature, high-volume parts.
• Familiar with PPAP, FMEA, and AS9102 FAIR documentation.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100; Lead Auditor experience valued.
• Strong leadership, communication, and continuous-improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality programs, root cause analysis, CAPA, and process improvement.
• Oversee quality inspectors, providing hands-on training on the shop floor.
• Perform/measures using precision equipment; manage gage calibration/purchasing.
• Review specs and docs to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.

Quality Manager

Join an established precision manufacturing company specializing in miniature, high-volume, high-precision turned components. This is an opportunity for a hands‑on Quality Manager/Lead to lead quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products and processes meet customer, aerospace, military, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality programs, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, process improvement, and customer/supplier problem resolution in a fast-paced precision machining environment.
• Oversee and coordinate quality inspectors while providing hands‑on training and technical guidance on the shop floor.
• Perform and oversee mechanical inspection using optical comparators, thread gages, indicators, micrometers, CMMs, and other precision measurement equipment; manage gage calibration and purchasing.
• Review customer specifications, quotations, incoming orders, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and standards.

Job Requirements

• Proven Quality Management experience in a job shop environment machining miniature, high-volume, high-precision turned components, with strong knowledge of GD&T and mechanical inspection methods.
• Experience interpreting customer, aerospace/military, and third‑party specifications and documentation, along with PPAP, FMEA, and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems; experience as a Management Representative or Lead Auditor is highly valuable.
• Strong leadership, communication, writing, problem‑solving, and continuous‑improvement skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; occasional travel required.

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and coordinating quality teams in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated precision manufacturing environments.
