Job Title

Senior QC Underwriter

Location:

AZ Remote

What You'll Do

• Perform pre-funding quality control reviews of loans from the Retail and Correspondent divisions
• Participate in the remediation of identified defects with Operations and Correspondent Sellers
• Monitor the progress of implementation of action plans based on quality control findings and results
• Communicate identified defects effectively to internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in developing QC audit and project plans
• Monitor QC project pipelines and analyze reports to ensure deadlines are met
• Analyze reports and data to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement
• Act as a resource and subject matter expert for Quality Control questions
• Participate in validation and remediation of monthly post-close QC and review findings
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• 10+ years mortgage industry experience, including at least 5 years recent Quality Control and Underwriting experience
• Understanding of mortgage lending operations and industry, especially Quality Control
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA guidelines, and Federal regulations, including TRID
• Basic fraud detection knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong prioritization and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate with all management levels
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Compensation: Hourly range generally $46.00, salary varies by location. Role may include bonuses/incentives.
