Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a QC/QA Director for the Phoenix, AZ Division to lead the Quality Department and drive corporate quality and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strategic quality leadership across projects, mentoring of engineers, and ensuring client requirements are understood and implemented.

Ideal candidate has 15–20 years in QA/QC for design-build/construction, OSHA 30, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
15 to 20 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Control roles with design-build and construction programs.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (may obtain within first year).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for client and team interactions.
Ability to build and lead high-performing teams at project and department levels.
Familiar with CMIC, Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field; experience with design processes and test/inspection methods.

Responsibilities

Develops, directs, mentors, trains, and leads the Quality Department and other functions.
Establishes and executes the corporate quality and continuous improvement program.
Designs internal quality audits as a standard process.
Provides oversight to project quality programs and client requirements.
Coordinates training and professional growth for Quality staff.
Supports investigations of non-conformances and non-conforming items.
