Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Sr. Specialist in QC Microbiology to perform microbiological testing and environmental monitoring in controlled manufacturing areas.

You will work with project managers, manufacturing, and QA to ensure timely testing and release of products, and you will document OOS/OT results and investigations as needed. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Microbiology/Biology or related field and 2–4 years in pharmaceutical/biotech QC microbiology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology/Biology or related field.
• 2–4 years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology with emphasis in QC microbiology or related area.
• Competent in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organization skills.
• General knowledge of industry regulations pertaining to cGMP.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing adhering to batch records, protocols, and test methods.
• Perform environmental monitoring in controlled manufacturing/testing areas.
• Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing and QA to ensure timely testing and release.
• Inform management of Out of Specification/Out of Trend results and non-conformances.
• Participate in investigations and related studies.
• Validate, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment and instruments; resolve issues.
• Adhere to environmental health and safety requirements and procedures.
• Review, analyze, interpret, trend, and report test result data.
• Participate in general laboratory upkeep and adhere to GMP documentation practices.
