Job summary

Emergent BioSolutions in Canton, MA is seeking a laboratory testing professional to maintain testing processes, support quality systems, and drive microbiology initiatives in a GMP manufacturing environment. You will perform sterility, bioburden, endotoxin, and other microbiology tests, contribute to CAPAs and change controls, and mentor junior staff while adhering to FDA, USP, CFR, and cGMP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in an applied science (microbiology preferred).
• 5 - 7 years of experience preferred, or equivalent level of skill and experience.
• Previous experience with microbiology assays and aseptic techniques in a GMP manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes laboratory tests including Sterility, Bioburden, endotoxin, growth promotion.
• Environmental Monitoring, Utilities and Gas sampling and testing.
• Demonstrates proficiency in moderately complex methods such as microbial identification and Environmental monitoring.
• Coordinates and processes departmental change controls and CAPAs.
• Represents QC in vendor relations and during validation activities.
