Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of quality leadership experience in precision machining, CNC manufacturing, heavy industrial manufacturing, or fabrication.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems (AS9100 experience is a plus).
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of CMM inspection, metrology, and precision measurement equipment.
• Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and other quality tools.
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience required.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager (CQM) is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Control department, including inspectors and quality technicians.
• Maintain and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality procedures.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality metrics and KPIs.
• Oversee incoming, in‑process, and final inspections.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem‑solving methodologies.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
• Manage customer audits, supplier audits, and internal quality audits.
• Review engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
• Ensure calibration programs are maintained for inspection and measurement equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Support new product introductions and process validations.
• Prepare quality reports and communicate performance to executive leadership.
