Job summary

Northwest Pipe is seeking a QC Inspector to ensure products conform to specifications and quality standards. The role requires familiarity with NDE methods, welding codes and documentation practices. Four levels of inspectors are defined by a certification rating card, with pay ranges to be determined.

The job focuses on dimensional, weld, coating, and lab inspections, with no supervisory responsibilities and potential flexible scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports and present information to groups of managers and customers.
• Ability to perform basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to read tape measures (25’, 30’, 50’ and Diameter).

Responsibilities

• Perform required NDE inspection (as qualified).
• Assure products meet/exceed standards and job specifications.
• Maintain proper inspection documentation (hard copy and electronic).
• Communicate QA/QC requirements between supervision and lead personnel.
• Work at a pace to balance quality and quantity of inspection/testing.
