Job summary

Promega Corporation in Madison, WI seeks an experienced QC Analytical Scientist 3 to perform diverse analytical testing for API release and stability assessment. You will contribute to method development, validation, and training of colleagues on instrumentation and methods.

Independently validate methods, interpret complex results, and support continuous improvement of QC processes aligned with GMP; occasional extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related field with 3+ years QC experience, or MS with 2+ years QC experience.
• Demonstrated independent method validation and characterization.
• Strong knowledge of analytical instrumentation (HPLC, LC-MS, GC, NMR, ICP-MS, Karl Fischer, XR-PD, FTIR, spectrophotometers, etc.).
• Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (mean, SD, regression, confidence intervals).
• Experience mentoring or training staff.
• Demonstrated proficiency in digital tools, with AI to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical method validation and characterization to support process improvement and product transfer.
• Lead investigations of OOS results and nonconformances with root-cause analysis.
• Draft, review, and revise QC procedures and SOPs ensuring compliance with documentation policy.
• Act as lead analyst for complex QC testing of raw materials, intermediates, and final products.
• Mentor and train junior staff in laboratory methods and good documentation practices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot QC Lab instrumentation and methods; perform re-validation when needed.
