Job summary

MilliporeSigma-Madison is seeking an Analytical Scientist to coordinate analytical aspects of incoming and ongoing projects. You will develop and validate methods for APIs and intermediates, troubleshoot instrumentation, and document results to support cGMP manufacturing.

You will use HPLC, GC, LCMS, ICPMS, DSC, TGA, KF, FTIR, NMR and XRPD and mentor others while ensuring quality and safety. A strong degree in chemistry or life sciences and GLP/cGMP experience are required, with competitive pay

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or Life Science.
5+ years in analytical lab under GLP or cGMP.
Master’s degree in Chemistry / Biology / Life Science (optional) with 2+ years in analytical lab under GLP/cGMP.
PhD in Chemistry / Biology / Life Science (optional).
Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation practices.
Ability to work in a team and in an analytical lab with hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

Independently lead project teams, provide guidance, and mentor group members.
Develop test methods for products, intermediates, and raw materials.
Initiate documentation and methodologies to support cGMP manufacturing.
Solve problems of significant scope independently and in teams.
Analytically test products, intermediates, and raw materials using HPLC, GC, LCMS, ICPMS, DSC, TGA, KF, FTIR, NMR, XRPD.
Document and review lab work; transfer methods to Quality Control.
Train Analytical and Quality Control personnel and manage priorities.
Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and safety requirements.
