Job summary

MSys Inc in Richmond, VA seeks a Senior QA Test Manager for a long-term, hybrid role (2-3 days onsite). The role focuses on leading SIT, UAT, and E2E testing for MMIS and MES modules, including COTS integrations and data conversions. You will coordinate with vendors and business stakeholders to ensure coverage and traceability.

Required experience includes mainframes, complex UAT management, and strong communication. This position offers W2 or C2C, and onsite/near-site work in Richmond, VA.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience with large-scale Medicaid member eligibility processing software.
• Experience managing SIT/UAT/E2E on large-scale projects involving multiple vendors and teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; capable of presenting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage full testing lifecycle: strategy, planning, execution, and reporting for SIT, UAT, and E2E tests.
• Coordinate testing with business teams to obtain user scenarios and test cases; support UAT and traceability.
• Maintain defect management processes; validate data integrity and QA documentation; assess issues post-test.
• Identify risks early and liaise with PMO and project leadership across agencies and vendors.
• Oversee testing of COTS applications and data conversion/integration within MES and MMIS modules.
• Test conversion/integration of data from other systems in Medicaid Enterprise Systems.
• Lead defect triage calls with multiple vendors and ensure timely closure.
• Develop test cases and test data from requirements; verify software changes.
• Resolve issues escalated between developers and business users; facilitate communication.
• Report progress and results to stakeholders, including test summaries and metrics.
• Escalate and track UAT defects to resolution; maintain historical UAT data.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Manage the full testing lifecycle, including designing the overall test strategy, planning, execution, reporting, detailed test data preparation, and overseeing End-to-End (E2E) testing
• Coordinate testing efforts with business teams to obtain user scenarios and test cases, organize meetings, support UAT, ensure proper test coverage and traceability, and perform test readiness reviews
• Maintain defect management processes, validate data integrity across systems, ensure consistent QA documentation and standards, and conduct post-test assessments to confirm resolution of issues
• Identify risks early, partner with the PMO office for project oversight, and ensure strong communication across agencies, vendors, and project leadership throughout the HR1 implementation
• Be responsible for all System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End2End Testing (E2E) for the MMIS and MES modules as well as the testing of configured Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) applications
• Test the conversion and integration of data from other systems in Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES Modules and COTS products)
• Manage defect triage calls with multiple vendors and track the defects to closure in a timely fashion
• Understand the requirements and design of the project and develop test cases, test data and verify the software changes
• Problem solve issues that are escalated and serve as liaison between the developer and the Business User
• Communicate and report to a variety of stakeholders about the results and progress of all UAT Testing including Test Summary and Execution metrics
• Escalate and track UAT defects through the resolution
• Track and maintain historical UAT Testing information
• Meet deadlines with a high level of integrity, professionalism, customer service and motivation

Required Experience

• Mainframes Experience is required
• Significant experience in managing UAT, defect triage calls and coordination involving multiple systems/Vendors/Teams is required

Preferred Experience:-

• Experience with Teradata queries is Preferred
