Senior Systems Analyst / QA Manager – Medicaid

Description

This position is for a Systems Analyst/QA Manager supporting a large‑scale Medicaid project. The role will lead all Quality Assurance activities, ensuring deliverables meet applicable Medicaid requirements while coordinating closely with business teams and external vendors. This role manages the full testing lifecycle, including development of the overall test strategy, planning, execution, reporting, detailed test data preparation, and oversight of End‑to‑End (E2E) testing.

The SA/QA Manager will coordinate testing efforts with business teams to obtain user scenarios and test cases, organize meetings, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensure proper test coverage and traceability, and perform test readiness reviews.

Responsibilities

• Maintain defect management processes, validate data integrity across systems, ensure consistent QA documentation and standards, and conduct post‑test assessments to confirm resolution of issues.
• Identify risks early, partner with project management teams for project oversight, and ensure strong communication across business teams, vendors, and project leadership throughout the implementation.
• Manage System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End‑to‑End Testing (E2E) for Medicaid systems and modules, including testing of configured Commercial Off‑the‑Shelf (COTS) applications and the conversion and integration of data from other systems.
• Manage defect triage meetings involving multiple vendors and track defects through timely resolution and closure.
• Understand project requirements and design; develop test cases and test data; verify software changes; troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues; and serve as a liaison between developers and business users.
• Communicate and report testing results and progress to a variety of stakeholders, including Test Summary Reports and execution metrics.
• Escalate and track UAT defects through resolution.
• Apply strong Mainframe experience to support testing and analysis activities.
• Track and maintain historical UAT testing information.
• Meet deadlines with a high level of integrity, professionalism, customer service, and motivation.
• Coordinate UAT defect triage activities involving multiple systems, vendors, and teams.
• Experience with Teradata queries is preferred.
