Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a QA/QC Manager for a large project in Austin, TX. The role ensures compliance with quality objectives and the Quality Management system, contributing to best-practice quality vision and project execution.

Responsibilities include implementing the QC program, developing inspection plans, supervising QC staff, and coordinating with clients and engineers to meet contract requirements.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years’ experience in a QA/QC role and experience developing and implementing Design/Construction Quality Programs.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to clearly communicate with clients and employees.
• Ability to build and lead high performing teams at project and department levels.
• Basic understanding of industry software such as CMIC, Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field.

Responsibilities

• Implements the Quality Control Program and supervises the Quality Control Engineers I & II.
• Develops Test/Inspection plans as per technical specifications and contract requirements.
• Supervises QA/QC staff including QA/QC Engineers I & II and testing lab technicians.
• Interfaces with Client/Architect on approval of the QA/QC Program and related matters at the project site.
• Manages field installations for compliance with contract documents and resolves punch list items. Provides direct communications to the Project Director.
• Leads and participates in pre-activity and weekly Quality Control meetings.
• Implements Quality Control software like BIM 360 Field.
