Job summary

Fortis Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior QA/QC Manager to lead the development and management of the project quality control program for our Data Center Business Unit.

You will oversee QA/QC functions, compliance activities, and client documentation across Civil, Structural and Architectural scopes. You will mentor project engineers, managers and superintendents, driving continuous improvement while coordinating with clients and subcontractors to meet Fortis’ standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction QA/QC experience of similar scale and complexity.
• At least 5 years of experience managing QA/QC function in similar capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Strong knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work.
• Must have proven expertise with a broad range of general construction and inspection processes and testing protocols (including ASTM, ANSI, APWA, ACI).
• Excellent organization skills including methodical and detail-oriented to ensure project QC documentation is complete and procedures are adhered to ensuring issues are closed and project risks are mitigated.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Fortis policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC program to ensure compliance with industry standards and owner requirements.
• Oversee QA/QC functions, procedures, and controls for Civil, Structural and Architectural scopes.
• Manage quality platform administration for checklist development and asset/issue management.
• Monitor QA/QC effectiveness and drive continuous improvement across projects.
• Lead and mentor project engineers, managers, superintendents, and teams.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to align quality objectives with project goals.
• Maintain inspection and reporting processes and review third-party inspection documentation.
• Foster client relationships by demonstrating Fortis’ commitment to quality.
